Tasting Notes
It presents an intense garnet color with a deep layer, showing brick-red rims that reflect its evolution in the bottle. The nose is complex and expressive, dominated by ripe fruit aromas. Liqueur-like and balsamic notes appear, accompanied by hints of carob, licorice, fennel, and a subtle background of undergrowth. On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, with perfectly integrated tannins that provide character without edges. The aging in French oak is perceived with elegance, contributing spicy nuances, soft toasts, and a creamy texture. Its passage is silky and balanced, with a long and persistent finish that leaves an impression of sobriety and complexity.
The grapes used are sourced from our own vineyard and harvested by hand. In the winery, both the clusters and the berries are carefully selected. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak truncated-cone vats, while malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels. The wine is aged for 30 months in new “T5” French oak barrels from Taransaud, originating from the Tronçais forest in Allier. This wine has not undergone any filtration.
