Description
Taberner No.1 2016 – 0.75L Bottle
Tasting Notes
Deep cherry red colour with intense layers, showing brick-red rims typical of its evolution. Complex on the nose, with aromas of ripe black fruit, liqueur-like and balsamic notes combined with hints of scrubland, cassis, licorice, and carob. Enveloping, powerful, noble, voluminous, and silky, with high persistence on the finish, revealing coffee and tobacco notes that leave an impression of elegant harmony on the palate.
The grapes used are sourced from our own vineyard and harvested by hand. In the winery, both the clusters and the berries are carefully selected. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak truncated-cone vats, while malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels. The wine is aged for 30 months in new “T5” French oak barrels from Taransaud, originating from the Tronçais forest in Allier. This wine has not undergone any filtration.
